: I am looking for people that own some really fast 300s. I am considering selling one of my cars(not either of the Z's though) to pay aobut $10 grand for a really sweet Z. This will mostly completly go to the motor and probably still won't be cash. The thing is I will have to either buy a really cheap beter (this is what i use the 94 Z28 vert that i would be selling to pay for it). Or I would have to drive this Z as a daily driver. How would the Z with around 600 bhp drive every day. I won't beat the car too hard but i do lke to race a good bit. What about the rest of the drivetrain hold up. 600 bhp is twice what a stock TT makes and can the stock drivetrain handle it. I will be running all synthetic redline fluids and keep it maintained. Will i have to replace the engine, 5 speed trans, or rearend every 30k miles. The engine i plan on doing is going to be: : Eagle H beam rods : JE stock size pistons : ported and polished heads : probably JWT #400 cams(how do these affect driveability?) : heavy duty valve springs : titanium retainers : bronze valve seats : ported/polished plenum, lower intake, and throtle bodies : 555cc or 740cc injectors : JWT sport 600 turbos. Really want the HKS 2530 but too much$ : Down pipes : 2.5" catback exhaust : JWT dual pop : apexi afc : apexi avcr : HKS Intercoolers : JWT ECU : blitz BOV : Lightend fly wheel : I know that adds up to more than 10k but i already have some of that stuff. I will also be able to regain a little money from the t-28's i have now. : The rest of the drivetrain will remain ptetty much stock except maybe for a alum D/S. Will it withstand that much power. I might get on it good once a day and the race it 1 or 2 times a week. this will probably have to be my daily driver for a while so will it be dependable. i know i am going to wear parts faster but how much faster? I can't have a car that breaks all the time and is that what this will be assuming all maintanace is kept up well? : I really appreciate all the help. It has been something i have been cotemplating for a while now. the reliablity issue has kept me away from it though. : Thanks and sorry for so long. : Shawn :
